From the 8th March to 2nd November the lift will be open 7 days per week.

Charges

British Waterways 'Canal & River' Long Term Licence Holders 3, 6, or 12 Month Licence.
Free of Charge if turning up on spec, on site on the day and taking the next available slot.
To book the following administration charges apply £5.00 for a single passage and £10.00 for a return passage.

British Waterways 'Rivers Only' Long Term Licence Holders 3, 6, or 12 Month Licence.
Are required to upgrade their licence to a 'Canal & River' licence for the duration of their cruise on the canal but are entitled to a 50% discount by means of a short term licence. (Short term licence upgrade must be in place prior to passage).
Free of Charge if turning up on spec, on site on the day and taking the next available slot.
To book the following administration charges apply £5.00 for a single passage and £10.00 for a return passage.

British Waterways 'Short Term Only' Licence Holders 1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Month or Explorer Licences
£30.00 Return or £20.00 Single for vessels <7ft wide

Non British Waterways Licenced Vessels (ie: Bridgewater Boats)
£30.00 return or £20.00 Single for vessels <7ft wide

Hire Boat Users
Most hire boats are entitled to use the Anderton Boat Lift, but please check with your hiring company prior to booking that the vessel is authorised for use on the Lift and the River Weaver.
Please note: Hire vessels are not permitted on the Manchester Ship Canal.
